I want to thank everyone for allowing me to serve as your National Director for the past three years. It is amazing to me that three years has gone by so quickly. During that time, there have been many positive changes within the organization. Even as the leadership has changed, the energy has not. This Association continues to thrive. We have found an entirely new pool of fresh ideas and innovative perspectives that continue to keep the Association at the head of its class. PHCC-NA is to be commended for always trying to be one step ahead. We now have more "green" programs to offer our contractors. We have offered classes in response to the "lead paint" regulations and we continue to offer classes in "how to have a better business and be a better business person." This is due to the commitment of the fabulous PHCC-NA staff. They are always coming up with new program ideas and interesting new ways of getting new members. It is commendable that the Association has maintained their core membership, even in a dismal economy We are very proud of the Association's ability to keep current with the technology trends so that we now not only read electronically, but we take apprenticeship classes electronically, have seminars electronically, communicate electronically, and also conduct meetings electronically. Since being the Zone Director, I have a much better picture of all the different facets that work together to make our Association great... PHCC-NA is the umbrella ( the mother-ship, so to speak) and under it, is the Education Foundation, the Auxiliary, QSC ( for service contractors), CCA (for new construction contractors), UAC ( for union contractors), and the AEC (for association executives). Together we are a strong group that addresses the needs of all types of plumbing and HVAC contractors. I believe this with all my heart. I believe, however, that it is imperative for us to remember that we MUST function together in order to stay strong. We have so much to offer a contractor as an association, but it will only work IF we function as a team, not separately. I am proud to have helped to make a difference in this Association. I have worked with wonderful people over the past three years and while I am sad to go, I know I leave the Board in good hands. It has been a rewarding and memorable experience and one I wouldn't trade for anything. Thanks, again, for allowing me to serve in
this position; it has been a privilege and an honor Respectfully Submitted, | |
