Ashburn, VA - On November 2nd,
2011, Plumbing and Mechanical Professionals
of Virginia member Modern Mechanical was awarded the Loudoun County
Chamber of Commerce 2011 Service Business of the Year Award. Shawn
Mitchell, President and CEO of Modern Mechanical, was also a finalist
for Entrepreneur of the Year. Shawn is a member of PMPV’s legislative
committee and just recently completed a close race for Virginia
State Senate.
For
more than 15 years, the Loudoun County Chamber has presented the
Small Business Awards to honor those small businesses and entrepreneurs
that are creating jobs, tax revenues and economic opportunity throughout
our community. There are many great small businesses in Loudoun
County and competition for a Small Business Award is fierce, with
hundreds of nominations submitted every year.
“Because our Award winners are
chosen by a blue ribbon panel of Loudoun’s top business leaders
and industry experts, the Small Business Awards are truly the most
prestigious honor a Loudoun small business, non-profit or entrepreneur
can receive,” stated Tony Howard,President of the Loudoun County
Chamber.
“I am honored that our young business
is being recognized by our peers and colleagues in Loudoun County,”
said Shawn Mitchell. “We work to provide a quality product
and customer service to our customers and I think it shows through
this recognition.
“Small businesses are the backbone
of our economy, especially here in Virginia and its great that the
Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce takes time to recognize the hard
work that these employers are doing.”
